This pencil box was commissioned for the client’s husband as a special gift. 

Beautiful English walnut was chosen for the main body of the box while the inner lining is English ash with a wonderful straight grain. The intricate kumiko pattern (a variation of the tsutsuidutsu style) is made from sycamore.
